Meet The Artist

Meet the artist who created and applied the stunning design for our Wildflower Mead-Owl: Judy Century

Judy Century 2
"I'm a North London artist who creates vibrant, contemporary paintings inspired by the natural world. I'm drawn to structure and patterns in nature, and particularly focus on capturing a sense of flowers bursting into life with their elegant, powerful forms. I like to move between abstract and more realistic interpretations of this idea. The beauty of flowers is so fleeting, so I use my art to capture this beauty, so that the vibrant colours and interesting shapes can be appreciated for longer.

"Alongside painting original art for homes and workspaces, I also run relaxed and friendly painting workshops in North London and Hertfordshire where I get the opportunity to pass on my passion and to give lots of people the chance to get creative and enjoy all the benefits!

"I chose to paint a wildflower meadow onto the owl sculpture because owls get a bird’s eye view of the beautiful scenery in the UK and I thought it would be fun to reflect that. It also ties in well with what I enjoy painting in my art practice. So it was a win-win situation! The owl is designed to be uplifting and striking. The grassy field is built of many layers to create depth and interest, and also a sense that you can just step in and explore."
